Peace Building through a concerted Response of Organizations in North East Region

The
peace Building Project in North
Region is the Initiative of
different like minded organizations
trying to pool the varied capacities
of the organizations to promote
peace in the NE Region. The project
is operating mainly in Assam, Nagaland
and Tripura and networking
activities in Manipur and Meghalaya.
NEDSF which is formed to coordinate
the development works of all the 15
Dioceses of North East Region
coordinates the project.

The Mission of Peace Building
is to reach out to the people especially the
youth and leaders of the villages, districts
and states by forming various peace teams
and core committees at various levels in the
society. The networking and Mass media will
strengthen the team, to bring about “Peace
and Unity” and to eradicate the conflicts
that prevent the existence of peace in the
society. |
