Since Jan 2000 NEDSF is trying to build and strengthen women’s group in the region through training programme, workshops and seminars and exposure programme at the regional level as well as diocese level. We have women coordinators and women leaders in each diocese working for women empowerment by creating awareness on women’s status and women’s issues.
  Aims and objectives
To empower women leaders through training and exposure programme
To organize socio- economic programme and make women self-reliant.
To develop leadership among women through training and Capacity building
To provide legal Aid courses so that women leaders can give legal guidance on women issues and for the protection of women’s rights
To enable the drop outs for continued education
To strengthen the regional level by hiring qualified staff with expertise.
To equip the communication and infrastructure facility by adopting modern media
To organize awareness programme among the rural women
To work for the development of Widows and single women 
 

  NEDSF’s Work for Women Empowerment:
Provides training on gender and women’s rights and organizational building. Also disseminates information on development and gender issues to the women of the region.
Provide legal awareness programme to both rural and urban groups of the region.
Provides materials on capacity building, legal aid manuals, income generation techniques and other relevant topics that would aid women in the development work.
Conduct meetings/workshop/seminars on important women issues.
Organize training/workshop/seminars for women coordinators/women leaders who are working for women empowerment.
Organize exposure programme for women coordinators.
